Introducing a proven ute protection product to the New Zealand market.

Gomad Bin Linings

Revolution Collective designed and built the brand’s New Zealand website to introduce a product most people here have never come across—and to turn that interest into booked jobs.

Understanding what needed to change.

Gomad needed a New Zealand website for a product with a strong track record overseas and almost no awareness here. Rubberising had proven itself in harsh Southern African and Australian conditions, but most New Zealand ute owners had never heard of it.

The website therefore had a job a price list could not do. It needed to explain what rubberising is, show why it outlasts the drop-in plastic liner most people default to, and carry a visitor from complete unfamiliarity through to requesting a booking—without a showroom visit and without a salesperson.

Gomad also needed enquiries that arrived ready to quote. Every ute job depends on the make, model, year and what is already fitted to the tray, and missing those details costs time on the day.

A considered approach, shaped around the goal.

We built the homepage as a single argument rather than a set of disconnected sections, so the site reads in the order a new customer actually thinks.

It opens with what the product is, moves to why it lasts, shows real jobs from the workshop, then places the comparison against drop-in liners directly in front of the reader at the moment they are weighing up the two. By the time someone reaches the pricing guide, they already understand what they are paying for.

The brand’s personality did the rest of the work. Gomad is practical and unbothered by showroom polish, so we kept the copy and imagery as plain-spoken as the business itself—language that suits people who use their ute for work rather than for show.

Booking received the most attention. The request form captures vehicle make, model and year, service type, existing fitments and photo uploads, so each enquiry arrives with everything needed to quote. We were also deliberate in labelling it a booking request rather than a confirmation, setting expectations before anyone picks up the phone.

The five-year guarantee, the Manukau location and the planned New Zealand expansion sit together in the hero as three plain facts. For an unfamiliar product, a guarantee answers the unspoken question faster than a paragraph of reassurance.

The work

Building awareness for a product New Zealand didn’t know it needed

01

Product Education

Structured the homepage to take a visitor from never having heard of rubberising through to requesting a booking.

02

Comparison Framework

Set rubberising directly against drop-in liners across the criteria that actually decide the purchase.

03

Quote-Ready Booking System

Built a request form capturing vehicle details, existing fitments and photos, so every enquiry arrives ready to price.

04

Proof Through Real Work

Gave recent jobs a swipeable gallery, providing visual evidence in place of claims.

05

Custom WordPress Build

Developed a bespoke theme rather than adapting a template, keeping the site fast and the brand distinctive.

06

Room To Grow

Established canopies and accessories as sections in their own right, ready for the range and the territory to expand.

The outcome

More than a new look.

Gomad now has a website that does the explaining for them. The questions that used to come up on every phone call—what is it, how long does it take, how is it different from a liner—are answered before a customer makes contact.

Enquiries arrive with the vehicle detail attached, which shortens the path from first contact to a booked job and removes most of the back-and-forth that used to sit in between.

The structure also gives the business somewhere to grow. Canopies and accessories sit alongside rubberising as sections in their own right rather than as afterthoughts, so the site can expand with the product range and follow Gomad’s expansion beyond Auckland.
